Security Systems and Camera Installation Technician

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Installation Technician is responsible for the tasks associated with the
design, installation, upgrade and repair of home and commercial security
systems, and be measured by weekly and monthly quota numbers. He/She will
use communication, technical knowledge, problem solving and sales skills to deliver
the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
TECHNICIAN JOB DUTIES:
- Perform system installations, upgrades, takeovers and wiring on CCTV
HD-Tvi, HD-Cvi, and IP platforms
- Assist with basic service and small security installation when needed
- Perform signal verification, system testing and troubleshooting
- Assist customer with downloads and device configurations as needed
Educate and train customer on system operation and functionality
- Complete installation checklists and capture customer signatures as required
- Replenish and reconcile truck stock inventory, materials, tools and equipment
- Acknowledge, implement, and enforce all 3r Technologies CCTV and Partner
policies and procedures.
- Positively represent 3r Technologies CCTV and Partners to customers
with consistent professionalism, adhering to dress code
- Submit accurate and timely documentation to your immediate
supervisor.
- Ability to work required on-call duty to handle after hour service issues.
TECHNICIAN SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.
- Ability to be physically fit and climb, stoop, and lift up to 40 lbs
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- PLT License and/or Technical school training is a preferred, but not required
- 1-2 years of experience in security or equivalent industry
- Networking knowledge a plus
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to remain focused and effectively multi-task within a fast-paced
& dynamic environment
- Ability to troubleshoot and conduct diagnostics to successfully problem solve
under pressure
- Motivated team player with positive attitude and desire to learn and deliver
high-quality work
- Strong customer service skills and genuine desire to interact with customers;
professional appearance
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
Must be able to pass a standard drug and background check
